Lyceum Series brings string quartet to Ƶ for March 9 performance

STARKVILLE, Miss.—This year’s Mississippi State Lyceum Series concludes March 9 featuring award-winning string quartet ETHEL performing their “Signature Sessions.”
The 7 p.m. performance is in Lee Hall’s Bettersworth Auditorium, with doors opening 30 minutes before showtime. The show packs nearly 25 years of song favorites into a night of creative entertainment spanning four music themes—ETHEL Rocks, At the Movies, Circus and World Tour.
Since its creation in New York City in 1998, ETHEL has been known as one of the “most adventurous” string quartets in the country. Hailed by the New York Times as “extraordinarily skilled, passionate musicians,” the group is currently comprised of Ralph Farris on viola, Kip Jones on violin, Dorothy Lawson on cello and Corin Lee on violin. ETHEL has been featured on over 40 albums, debuted 225 works, and appeared in 14 countries, 45 states and 250 cities.
Individual tickets are available to the general public at $30 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Ƶ students may enter for free with valid student I.D. Purchases can be made at and at the door, if available.
