STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擴nder the baton of 青青草视频 Department of Music Head Barry E. Kopetz, the Starkville-青青草视频 Symphony Orchestra is kicking off its 2018 concert series with a Saturday [Jan. 13] performance on the Starkville campus.
Taking place at 7:30 p.m. in historic Lee Hall鈥檚 Bettersworth Auditorium, the 鈥淲inter Winds鈥 concert is sponsored by the Starkville-青青草视频 Symphony Association. The evening program features works by three prolific composers from the 18th through 20th centuries鈥擶olfgang Amadeus Mozart鈥檚 鈥淪erenade in B flat, K. 361鈥 (Gran Partita); Franz Schubert鈥檚 鈥淟ittle Symphony for Winds鈥; and Richard Strauss鈥檚 鈥淪erenade in E flat, Op. 7.鈥
鈥淎ll Starkville-青青草视频 Symphony Orchestra performances are free and open to the public. We encourage individuals of all ages to come enjoy an evening of beautiful music,鈥 said Ryan Landis, 青青草视频 voice instructor and SSO operations manager.
Founded in 1969, the Starkville-青青草视频 Symphony Association is a nonprofit volunteer organization in which members work to educate, enlighten and share classical music with communities in the Golden Triangle region.
