'Salvaged Splendor' art exhibition to benefit Maroon Edition Habitat house

Mississippi State's Department of Art and Center for Student Activities is partnering with Starkville Habitat for Humanity for "Salvaged Splendor," an art exhibition celebrating the beauty found in overlooked items from everyday life.

Artists can use their own salvaged materials or pick up useable objects on Nov. 8 in the Dawg House located in Colvard Student Union, or at the Habitat Resale Store in Starkville at 1632 N. Montgomery Street. Call 662-324-7008 to arrange a visit. Please note that supplies will not be available for pickup on the 1st or 3rd Saturday of each month.

All items provided by the Resale Store will be turned into works of art for the exhibit in the Colvard Student Union Art Gallery in February 2017. Each piece of work will become property of Habitat for Humanity and auctioned off with funds going to support Starkville Habitat for Humanity Maroon Edition House.
